Research On The Development Potential Of Ethnic Tourism Destination In Southwest China

As a kind of special tourism, the characteristic and function of ethnic tourism follows the trend of era development. It satisfies new demand of tourist and makes fast progress inside and outside country. At the same time, academic now focus on research of ethical tour more and more. This article selects development potential of southwest ethnic tourism destination as researching object. There are three meanings: first, the core of development potential is the idea of continuous development, it focuses on development main body's self programming and ability of subsequent development, it helps exploiting ethnic tour destination reasoningly and tour development path which has ethnic feature itself; second, ethical traveling destination is a concept of integrated system, it can put development factors such as tourism attraction, traveling market, destination surrounding etc together for research; third, the resources of ethical traveling of southwest ethnic tourism destination are abundant, tourism is developed early, so this research is representative.This article uses qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, theories goiong with facts. Concluding enthnic tourism theory research and analyzing the development condition of southwest enthnic tourism destination, it discusses factors effecting development potential of southwest enthnic tourism destination on the base of them. Furthermore, the article constructs the evaluation system of enthnic tourism destination development potential by using for reference of Analytic Hierarchy Process and using lots of theories, it also analyzes and evaluates development potential of southwest enthnic tourism destination. Research shows that at these four aspects: tourism attraction potential, market development potential, industry growing potential and surrounding support potential , there are distinguish difference among six provinces in southwest. It can be divided into four levels. Sichuan's potential is the strongest, Yunan the second, , Guangxi's and Chongqing's are normal, Guzhou's and Xizang's are rather weak. According to area development angle, the article discusses the problem of incorporate about area tourism cooperation among six province of southwest, in order to increase whole scale potential of southwest area. At last , the article brings forward policies about how to increase Chinese ethnic tourism destination potential according to the result of southwest tourism destination development potential research.
