Study On The Innovation City Construction

With China's Strategy of building an innovation-oriented country, to build innovation-oriented cities has become the first priority for city development. At present the majority of Chinese cities have made such development plans. Based on the analysis of their own advantages and disadvantages, specific goals and timetables have been set for an innovation-oriented development and construction work has started, giving rise to the popularity of innovation-oriented city construction. Such a booming results in the increasing demand for the principle of building innovation-oriented cities, so some scholars in China begin to study the theory of the innovative urban construction, and there has been an increasing concern for the issue. Therefore, the research, the theoretical framework and the strategy of building innovation-oriented cities with Chinese characteristics are very urgent and with long-term guiding significance. This paper has been intended to serve that purpose.Based on the systematic study of the relevant research and practice at home and abroad, focusing on the combination of theory and practice, this paper studies the theory and practice of the innovative city systematically. Firstly, integrating the existing definition of the innovative city, it redefines the meaning of the innovative city; it discusses the types of innovative cities, development model and elements. Secondly, it constructs the city's innovative index system and puts forward the basic principles of building a creative city evaluation index system, based on the existing theory and practice and it designs the Innovative urban design evaluation index system. Thirdly, based on the empirical research on Zhengzhou City for the target, it introduces innovative urban construction, analyzes the Zhengzhou Municipal innovative urban construction work and the effectiveness, the difficulties and problems. It puts out the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for Zhengzhou City on innovative urban construction. Therefore, the core of the paper is: putting forward creatively the innovative concept, exploring the establishment of the innovative urban construction Evaluation System; putting forward the policies and proposal for Zhengzhou in the building of an innovation-oriented city.
