| Recently more and more domestic cities have put forward the goal of building international tourist cities, and started to carry out it. Research on tourism internationalization of cities is seldom conducted, and can't meet the need of practice. This paper studies the history, actuality and future of tourism internationalization in Suzhou. Firstly, it reviews researches on international tourist cities and the history of tourism internationalization in Suzhou. Secondly, it defines international tourist city on the basis of the theory on city function, build an index system on measuring international tourist city, and analyzes the actuality of tourism internationalization in Suzhou by using this index system. Finally, it advances the general requirements, main principle, steps and strategies of tourism internationalization in Suzhou in the future. |
