Study Of Establishing And Perfecting The New Type Of Rural Pension System In Jiangsu Province

Building the rural social pension system is an important part of the establishment of the social security system in China. The thesis expounds theories concerning social pension system, identifies the necessity and feasibility of establishing the rural social pension system in Jiangsu by analyzing the rural economic and social development of Jiangsu Province. Meanwhile, it makes detailed introduction and analysis of the development course of the rural pension system established in Jiangsu, and the contents and advantages and disadvantages of its current pattern. The thesis also summarizes and analyzes existing problems in the work of building the new type of pension system in Jiangsu. At present, the new rural social pension system in Jiangsu has not yet taken shape. Therefore, to respond to impact brought by market economy and accelerated urbanization, and in accordance with building a harmonious society, we need to continuously improve the rural social pension system of Jiangsu. In improving and perfecting the new type of rural social pension system for Jiangsu, we should proceed from the actual situation, consider possibilities in reality, and handle properly relations between rural social pension and economic and social development and many other aspects, so as to come up with a social pension system with different patterns in accordance with economic differences among rural regions and varying means of employment of rural residents. At the same time, we should also consider the long-term future, and strive to lay a solid foundation for establishing a scientific, systematic, standardized, integrated urban-rural and unified social pension system in the whole province. Based on all this, the thesis puts forward the general outline and concrete measures for establishing and improving the new type of rural pension system in Jiangsu as well as relations to be handled properly.The thesis consists of 6 chapters as such: Chapter 1, Introduction; Chapter 2, Overview of bibliography; Chapter 3, Summary of basic theories of pension system; Chapter 4, Analysis of necessity and feasibility of establishing and improving rural pension system in Jiangsu Province; Chapter 5, Present situation of current rural pension system in Jiangsu, main experiences and lessons; Chapter 6, Reflection on establishing and improving new type of rural social pension system in Jiangsu.
