A Study On Evaluation Of Urban Land Intensive Use Based On GIS

Presently, the cities in our country are in a transnormal rapid development period. And the rapid expanding of city lead to a huge demand to land resources. But our country has a huge population with little land. So we will meet with a great problem about food and construction. Therefore, we should improve the land intensive utilization, the potential and efficiency of land utilization. These are not only the core to achieve the fundermental transforming of the economic increasing mode, the inevitable requirement to build a economy society, but also essential guarantee to relieve the conflict between the land supply and demand. Thus, from this point, the study on intensive land utilization has great important.There are six chapters involved in this thesis. The first chapter is an introduction to discuss the background and significance of this research. The results related to this topic were reviewed and the study framework was proposed in this chapter. In the second chapter, the conception of intensive utilization of urban land was introduced and a systematic analysis of the driving forces in the intensive utilization of urban land was conducted. In the next chapter, the current situation of the urbanization and the intensive utilization of urban land in Chibi city were analyzed. In the forth chapter, the potential of the urban land intensive utilization in Chibi city was assessed in macroscopical using a intensive degree model. The fifth chapter, some countermeasures are proposed against the current situation of land utilization in Chibi city. And in the last chapter, I give a result and point out there are still some amelioration as well as the innovation.The conclusions of this research were drawn mainly as follows:①The intensive utilization of urban land is influenced by many factors, including the growth of population, the development of economy, land resources endowment bound, urban stock land, the adjustment of industrial structure, the progress of science and technology, the alteration of macroscopical policies as well as the establishment and actualization of urban planning,②The utilization efficiency of urban land should be improved firstly to increase the level of the intensive urbanization of urban land in Chibi city, and the intensity of exploitation and investment is to be enhanced,③The main approaches to the intensive utilization of urban land adopted in Chibi city are the optimization of urban land utilization structure, old city reconstruction and the ecologically of the urban space structure. The government of land resource management should take the guideline to use the policy and market powers for land intensive utilization.
