A Study On The Sustainable Development Of Mineral Resource-based City Of Hubei Province

Sustainable development is one subject of world economy development in our time . The mineral resource-based cities is the cities whose development is accompanied by the rise of mineral resource-based. The mineral resource-based cities played a very important role in the economic development of our country for long time, and have made enormous contribution. But non-renewable type of mineral resource-based determined of mineral resource-based cities take the road to sustainable development. It concerns urban system and even the lasting development overall situations of area and country directly.On the basis of systematic studying on the concerned theory and practice in economy sustainable development of mineral resource-based cities in and out of China, this paper combine the concrete characteristic of the mineral resource-based cities of Hubei province, construct the sustainable development indicator system . By defining the basic content of economy sustainable development of mineral resource-based cities, it pointed out that economy sustainable development of mineral resource-based cities is the sustainable and tuneful evolution of inside economy system and outside resource, environment and society of mineral resource-based cities. In view of economy sustainable development pattern and tactics, this paper used Principal Components Analysis to analysis economic criterion of 34 mineral resource-based cities in Hubei province and concluded four typical types of new building type, mature type, failing type and adjustment type and their corresponding developing tactics. Then it analyzed the subject problems faced in sustainable development of the mineral resource-based cities of Hubei province. On the basis of consulting other scholar's view and opinion, have proposed counter measure and suggestion of sustainable development of the four types of the mineral resource-based cities.
