In the process of rapid urbanization in our country, the farmers' employment goes beyond the agricultural production and operation, they began to face the option of industry and space,so there are many different kinds of work patterns. This paper will attempt to put the option and preferences of space into the analysis,to divide the spatial behavior of farmer's employment into four patterns:the pattern of work in the rural, the pattern of work in the city, the pattern of migration pattern and the pattern of strong floating. The project-based thesis is divided into five parts, which puts forward the system analysis about the spatial behaviors of farmer's employment with the theoretical and empirical study. Then,it summarizes the general laws of the spatial behavior patterns of farmer's employment. The thesis aims at discovering the common aspects of the spatial behaviors of farmers' employment and brings forward the corresponding policy advices for the improvement of farmers' employment as well as the optimization of spatial structure in rural areas. The first part includes the introduction, the method of research, the information of CangBu.It's the basic part of the thesis.Firstly,it formulates the present situation, significance and methods of research. Then,it introduces the content and structure of the thesis briefly.Lastly,it gives an introduction of CangBu in order to know this place. The second part includes the basic information of spatial behavior patterns of farmer's employment in CangBu,it tells us what's the patterns.Firstly,to classify the patterns on the basis of farmers' occupation, workplace and the time of they living at home.According to the research,we found the most farmers chose the pattern of work in the rural, the next one is the pattern of work in the city, the pattern of strong floating is the least one.Secondly, analyze the individual factors in view of the distribution of patterns,in order to know the differences among the gender, age and education. The third part tries to tell us why the farmers choose different kinds of pattern and it focus on the influential factors. The Macro-factors include institutions, the structure of community chance, relation network of society and the industry chain between the city and countryside. The Micro-factors include the comparison of income and cost, family and individual factor. We did the correlate analysis between the patterns and factors as well, and we get a conclusion is that the farmers' age and education has a direct bearing on the patterns option. The fourth part is about the relationship between the patterns and the rural spatial structure,it tries to explain how the spatial behaviors of farmers' employment affects the rural spatial structure.Firstly,it formulates the features of different patterns.Secondly, based on the hypothesis that the rural spatial structure consists of three factors: residential spot, infrastructure net,and resources and environment,it analyze how these factors affect the rural spatial structure. The fifth part is the conclusion, summarizes the main conclusions of the research according to the synthetical study of the thesis. And point out the inadequacies and the trend of further research.
