With the globalization of the supply chain operation, modern logistics has become one of the most rapidly developing industries all over the world, while the logistics system performance is greatly determined by its structure. As an important part of a supply chain, distribution center connects the supplier with the consumer, which affects logistics costs and efficiency of supply chain. However, the theoretical research of modern logistics relatively lags behind the need of the logistics practice in our country. Many selections of distribution center location are merely based on past experience without any scientific verification, or are just reflections of short-term benefits, which not only harm the long-term development, but also cause plentiful resource waste. Therefore, the research on the distribution center location is of great economical and practical significance. So in the context of supply chain environment, this author studies ways to select a location for distribution center and proposes her improvement methods.On the basis of the theory of distribution center location under supply chain environment, three main problems have been solved in this thesis: the general method of distribution center location, the singleness distribution center location, and multi-distribution center location. In the respect of general distribution center location method, based on the detailed analysis of factors and the summarization of principles, which influence distribution center location under supply chain environment, such as Barycentric method,Baumol-Wolfe,Mixed-integer Programming and AHP, their respective merits, demerits and applications are analyzed. As far as the singleness distribution center location is concerned, the median method is used in the distribution center which has considered the complexity of location. Multi-distribution center location is considered as a leader-follower style, which establishes contact between decision-maker and distributor, taking the problem of the competition after distribution center being built into consideration as well. Bi-level programming is adoptsed and Mixed-Genetic algorithm method is used in the model. It is more practical and instructional in practice, which can provide reference to distribution center location in future.A good method for distribution center location under the background of supply chain environment is provided in this thesis, which ensures the scientific selection and makes the decision-making of distribution center location more feasible. Because of this, this thesis creatively puts forward: (1) absolute median location method can be used for the distribution center location; (2) the competition after the established distribution center in incorporated into the model . The reference for the scientific decision-making of the distribution center location under supply chain environment is provided in this thesis.
