The Research Of PLS Path Modeling Applied In Trustworthiness Index'07 Social Survy Of Beijing

Trustworthiness is taken as one of Chinese traditional virtues. "Without trustworthiness, man can not be, business can not be and governance can not be", as the saying goes. It also plays supreme role among social institutions in modern era. However, with the development of market-driven economy and improvement of democracy in China, kinds of problem of trustworthiness-a core value of social activities triggered deep thoughts on ethical, moral and political level.Combing classical researches before with practical situation in Beijing city, a set of systematic indicators is designed, in order to evaluate the degree of Social Trustworthiness Index. This paper does lots of research in the evaluation model, which is based on latent and observed variables. And PLS Path Modeling is employed here to do model construction and data analysis deriving from the 2007 Trustworthiness Index Survey in Beijing.Although there have been many researches on the trustworthiness in China, they always focus on describing present situation and explaining the reason for current trustworthiness absence. Doing study on the trustworthiness evaluation model specifically is still in premature stage and now scarce. In general, this study explores relationships among different latent dimensions of trustworthiness. It is expected to make some contribution to the research concerning trustworthiness.
