| With the development of modern banking, private banking has taken the most important role in the commercial banking field, characteristic of low risk and high reward. As the number of the wealthy and the average level of private possessions keep on rising year after year, the development of private banking in China has assumed enormous potentials. Thus, it is significant for the acceleration of banking reform and the enhancement of comprehensive competitiveness of commercial banking in China to strengthen the research and development of private banking,Therefore, this paper begins with the origin, development and tendency of private banking, and illustrates some major characteristics of its development, in terms of the target clients, major products and service, the differences between private banking operations and financial management for honored clients, and the relevant procedures.In the next place, this paper introduces the important experience of the development of Swiss banks in that Switzerland is one of the earliest cradle lands for private banking, and it still takes the leading place in this global field.Besides, this thesis analyzes the environment, current situation and some problems concerning the private banking in China.At last, with the summary of private banking, the introduction of the principal experience of Swiss banking, and the analysis of the current situation in China, this paper puts forward some suggestions about the strategic choices of developing private banking from the perspectives of operation policy environment, construction of legal system, operation mechanism, human-based service, multi-level talent system, as well as service and product innovation. |
