Location Based Service, having been the faster developing of all the value-added services market during the recent years, has drawn the investments from all kinds of terminal providers and service providers, such as Nokia Motorola and Segem, as well as the mobile operators. As the leading power of location based service in the province of Hunan, Hunan Mobile Communication Corporation has huge target customer. But the market still exist the factor of much the service business of the influence LBS development, so need to carry on market analysis and foreground estimate of the carry on of system, insure the positive development of market.The thesis first of all gives a general introduction to the concept, technique, application and the development of location based service, and then focuses on the major issues in the development of this market of Hunan Mobile Communication Corporation through the analysis of its status quo and development of the point to point location based service. Next is the anatomy of the macro environment and trade competition of the Corporation, and the SWOT analysis of the development on location based service from four aspects such as strength,weakness,opportunity and threaten. Also, through the analysis of historical data, it ventures a forecast on location based service customer count of Hunan Mobile Communication Corporation in the year 2007.To ensure the rapid growth of the location based service of Hunan Mobile Communication Corporation, suggestions were made in the last part of the thesis on the existing problems and the future development, including value chain integration, new technology improvement, Strengthen customer's privacy management, mobile network construction and optimization, and enlarge marketing expands strength of location based service.
