| Economic globalization changes traditional competition between companies into the competition between each supply chain which bases on collaborative commerce, collaborative competition and win-win principle and consists of collaborative partners including consumers, suppliers, research and development center, manufacturer, wholesaler, service provider and so on . Supply chain management requires companies to focus on key business (core competencies), chooses right partners and establishes strategic relationship with the cooperative enterprises, then outsources non-core competence business to them.The study of this thesis is on contract manufacturing and optimization of its supply chain. Firstly, from the theory of supply chain management and contract manufacturing, the thesis discusses integrated supply chain, supply chain strategic collaborative relationship and contract manufacturing operations, risk and control. Then based on the theory above, the thesis gives the case study of Guangsu company. By analysis of status of contract manufacturing in Guangsu company, the thesis summarizes its main issues in contract manufacturing : complex supply network and single supply chain strategy; lack of information share and complicated process of order management; lack of supply chain performance metrics and inappropriate organization with development of contract manufacturing. Applying supply chain management theory, the thesis puts forward the following optimization proposal: simplify supply network and establish multi-supply chain strategy combination to increase the agility; integrate information system and simplify order management process; complete supply chain performance metrics and improve organization continuously. |
