A Study On The Crisis Management Of Construction Industry In China

This paper is an exploring study on the strategic crisis management of the construction industry in China.The paper first makes a simple review of the general managerial theories of the crisis management prevailing in enterprises nowadays. Then it touches upon the development of the construction industry in China from a historical point of view. During this part the paper emphasizes on a series of issues and problems that the construction industry is facing now in order to provide a general knowledge about the whole industry environment in China. Afterwards, it analyzes the status quo of the crisis management of the construction industry in China, dissertates the challenges that the local construction companies are facing nowadays, and emphatically analyzes the causations that result in these crisis. Then the paper analyzes the crisis management of the construction industry combining with the real-life case about the Beijing Run'an Municipal Engineering Co., Ltd. In the end, this paper puts forward suggestions on how to carry the crisis management into execution in the Chinese construction companies.Through systematic research and analysis, this paper expects to provide the academic gist to the strategetic crisis management of the construction industry in China, meanwhile to provide some valuable suggestions as a reference to the Chinese construction companies in order to establish and improve their ability to prevent and manage crisis events.
