The management of compensation is essential for the management of human resources, and it is also one of the areas that the manager concerns. The compensation system of the business enterprise is the key that the business enterprise draws on the talented person, encourage the talented person and keep the talented person. How to build up a valid compensation system with competition and motivation, is very important to the business enterprise. This article based on the modern theories of compensation management, analyses the target enterprise-the DR power construction company, which reforms from the state-owned company. In this article, we discuss the problem of HRM, especially the compensation management of DR. We redesign the compensation system for DR with the process of confirming the principle of compensation, the work analyses, the work valuation, the salary investigate, the designing of the compensation system. We hope this system and some ideas among it can give some suggest to the third industry companies of the electric power company which are facing the system reform.This article comprised four parts: the first part discussed the relevant theories of compensation. In this part, we emphasized on the motivation theory, which include the Need Layer Theory, the Expect Theory and the Fair Theory, etc. It also introduced the whole process about the compensation system design. The second part introduced the current condition of DR company, include the history of DR, the problem on human resource management and compensation management of DR. In the third part we described the whole process of the compensation system redesign of DR. The last part analyzed the advantage of the system, pointed out its disadvantage and the way to improve.
