Since 1950's-1960's, the enterprise competition strategy management as a new subject has undergone nearly 5 0 years'development, now the theory has already matured gradually, and has formed the different schools, and now there's a warm discussion about what's the origin of the competitive advantage and how to maintain it. How to maintain enterprise's competitive advantage was still a hot topic. Especially on the condition of the present market economy environment in our country, establishing and maintaining enterprise's competitive advantage is very important. Obtained from the angle of the isolating mechanism, the article proposes to establish the inside and outside isolating mechanism under the exterior complex environment, and along with external environment's change, renewing the isolating mechanism unceasingly, regardless of in theoretically or reality, it has a certain guiding sense.Using the research technique of the theory and the practice, the article first reviews the research condition on the isolating mechanism of the domestic and foreign scholars and points out research deficiency of the domestic and foreign. The article analyzes the origin of competitive advantage form industrial structure, the resources school, the enterprise ability and the knowledge school viewpoint, and constructs outside and inside isolating mechanism. The article considers that enterprise's outside isolating mechanism consist of mainly institutional, entry barrier, the unique resources and the unique geographical position constitution, and inside isolating mechanism consists of entrepreneur ability, organizing faculty and enterprise culture.Simultaneously, the article also points out that the isolating mechanism is two sides of a coin .It not only may maintain enterprise's competitive advantage, but also may hinder enterprise's development. The enterprise is an open system to be far away from the equilibrium state, so it must introduce"negative entropy flow"unceasingly from the dynamic changeable market environment and the construction enterprise's competition intelligence and the crisis intelligence system, causes the enterprise maintains with the external environment dynamic consistent; At the same time, in the inside isolating mechanism, it can urge the entrepreneur ideological mode to transform, the organization inertia to evolve and the enterprise culture to innovate, and it can prevent the inside isolating mechanism which established to ossify and to be no longer valid, thus gains the continuing competitive advantage.
