A large number of foreign investment influx into the construction market,and international contractors and investors are starting their business in China. Facing the opportunities as well as challenges, the introduction of the universal international project management and contract text and promoting international practise model in investment management are undoubtedly great significant to nuture Chinese economic order of the building market , monitor the use of the capital inconstruction projects, promote foreign investment in various of construction projects with reassurance,and depurate the investment environment. As well as it make well prepare for Chinese construction enterprises to go abroad and foreign construction enterprises enter Chinese market.JCT contract is. the construction terms of the contract used widely in the Commonwealth of nations, Chinese Hong Kong and Macao regions JCT series of standard contracts is quilified with the wide range ,the comprehensive systems,detailed articles, covering construction projects at all levels and it plays a guiding role in project management. Since 1991 Chinese Shanghai, the first use of JCT, after more than 10 years of development,JCT contract has been used in more than 100 domestic and projects in abord. After continuous exploration and practice,Chinese is already basically skilled using JCT to improve construction and JCT contract is maturity to popularize nationally.This paper start from the analyzing of the status in quo of Chinese current construction project contract management, project management, cost control of the construction project, then it introduce the origin , composition of the development and the main contents of JCT contract system . After that from the various stages of construction projects ,it expatiate the way JCT contract used in bidding, the progress ,the quality control,construction period management and cost control. And further expounding by selecting the typical example,it is fully showed that the JCT contract plays a good role in the state-owned large-scale construction projects. Certainly the problems existed in JCT and corresponding solutions are already pointed by author. Comparing the JCT contract with Chinese current construction project contract,the artical propose some suggestions in revising and improving Chinese construction contract. Finally,according to Chinese national conditions, the artical summarise the advantages and limitations of the using of the JCT contract in the domestic. As the conclusion arming at the Chinese existing problems and gaps from developed country, the artical draw the proposals to improve Chinese construction market in all parties and to make the JCT terms of the contract better adapting to the practical conditions of China.
