Urban Informatization Influences On Tianjin's Modernization

Under the background of globalization, urban informatization is the new subject for city development in China and the key point of national informatization. Urban informatization has become an important sign for measure of a city's comprehensive strength. Recently, informatization building has been to be the inevitable select for great-leap-forward development for many cities and they are promoting the informatization process. However, the related research integrating with the particular case of a city is so weak. Tianjin has carried out the construction for more than ten years, and is good to be a representation. Now, Tianjin is undertaking Olympic sports, actively participating in international competition and implementing the new city orientation. It is necessary to research how informatization impact Tianjin's modernization in these years and what the weaknesses are. Then we will have a reference for the following development.The research methods of this paper are integration of theory and practice, the combination of static analysis with dynamic analysis. The building results of Tianjin's informatization for more than ten years and the impact imposed to modernization will be discussed. The study found that, since Tianjin Inforport Project set up, the assignments of every phase were accomplished excellently. Measure the level of Tianjin's urban informatization from 2000 to 2006 with index analytical method, the trend shows wave-like upward shape which is identify to the known conclusion. With the informatization index, we take quantitative analysis of the contribution of urban informatization. Though there is no valid result for lacking of sample data, we can make out that the average annual growth rate of information factor is little lower than which of capital factor and higher than which of labor factor. Then analyze how informatization impact Tianjin's modernization and what the weaknesses are from four aspects: economic modernization, urban management modernization, urban living modernization and urban environmental modernization. Finally, bring forward the countermeasures of the weaknesses of Tianjin's informatization and the problems existing in the process of exerting. They are skilled person training, improving innovation of information industry, found government management system, reinforce lawmaking to maintain security of network and so on.
