Research On The Contribution Degree Of Equipment Manufacturing To The Industrilization Of China

Industrilization is always the core mission for the economic development of developing country. From the view of industrial structure, industrialization is the transformation of breaking away the agriculture, just the share of agriculture in national income and employment is decreasing, the share of manufacturing and service are increasing. As the industry, industrialization experiences the phases of light, heavy and technological intensivism in turn.Equipment Manufaturing is the title of all kinds of manufacture industry that provide technological equipments for simply reproduction and expanding reproduction of different departments in national economy. Highly developed equipment manufacturing is the necessary condition. Because equipment manufacturing is the key department in the metaphase of industrialization; it is the core department assumes the upgrading and optimization of industrial structure; it provides basic equipments for tertiary industry; it provides technological equipments for improving the efficiency of industrialization.As China which is in the metaphase of industrialization, equipment manufacturing as the core department of esse economy should to be the key department for industrial structure optimizing and developing in phase, it should promote the industrialization of China in theory, but we need to demonstrate how much the contribution equipment manufacturing have made for industrialization of China.The paper, first of all, summarizes the rule of industrialization from the view of structure change, illustrates the operational mechanism of equipment manufacturing promoting industrialization within the characteristic of equipment manufacturing. In the second chapter, we review the proportion of equipment manufacturing in industry; we calculate the contribution degree of equipment manufacturing for the increasing of industry using the econometric model; we analysis its technological contribution for industry using Principal Component Analysis method; we evaluate its contribution for other industries using Analytic Hierarchy Process method. On the base of these, we get the conclusion that the contribution degree of equipment manufacturing to the industrialization of China is very high. In the third chapter, the paper analysis the appropriation degree of contribution from the view of the practical problems in the industrialization of China. Because of the low high-processing degree of equipment manufacturing, the weakness of self-innovation and technological transformation, underdeveloped service industry for production, and underdeveloped equipment for protection of resource and environment. We think the appropriation degree of contribution is not very high. In the last part of paper, we table a proposal for the development of equipment manufacturing of China according to the requirement of new industrialization: equipping our agriculture with modern equipment manufacturing, constructing our green equipment manufacturing with revolving economy, supporting the development of equipment manufacturing with modern service industry, breeding the self-innovation ability of equipment manufacturing.
