Along with the global economic center is inclined to the service industry, service trade plays an important role in the international economic stage. As the rapidest developing field, global service trade appears great area imbalance: developed countries are leading the development of service trade, and trying to reduce worldwide trade barriers in order to gain more economic benefits; Developing countries are in the passive station and try hard to improve the international competitiveness. After entered in WTO, Chinese service trade develops rapidly but also meets furious competition. Therefore, it has a strong practical sense to do scientific evaluation on international competitiveness of service trade in China.The basic research order of this paper is:Firstly, to nail down the background and practical significance for the whole research and expound literature summarization about related theory; Secondly, to clearly define two concepts of international Service Trade and international competitiveness of service trade, to analyze the main influence factors of service trade competitiveness and give prominence to human capital; Thirdly, to do a demonstration research on the main influence factors of international competitiveness of service trade in China by a multivariable linear regression model; Fourthly, to make up a evaluation indices system, to measure the international competitiveness of service trade in China after entered in WTO from the whole and sector aspects by comparing with 15 countries and regions. And last to make the conclusion that:(1) Trade openness degree is the most important influencing factor to the international competitiveness of service trade in China; the following are merchandise exports, per capita GDP, human capital and the investment of the state owned capitals. For some reasons, we omit three variables-production values of service industry, foreign direct investment and urbanization, but all the three factors have an important influence on service trade in China.(2) The competitiveness of Chinese service trade is too weak to compete internationally, but with a rapid growing speed. By sector aspect, tourism holds more strong competitiveness, communication owns comparative advantage.
