| Urban public transport is the basis of the city and leading industries, urban development and urban growth is now zoned the basic elements of city's human, material, information flow vector and urban economic activity. It is the lifeblood of a city to maintain social, economic, culture and other important industries. The requirements of economic and social activities for urban traffic system will be safe, fast, convenient, comfortable and economical way to meet urban passenger flow, logistics, information flow needs, modern city of commodity production, circulation and consumption, residents travel, information transfer and exchange carrier. City's economic and social activities must have modern urban transportation system's support and protection. So, as an important role, urban transport system need achieve a virtuous circle of the functions of cities; promote urban economic and social development. City traffic is not only the convenience how to achieve high efficiency and enhance passenger and cargo flows, but also a fundamental improvement of the quality of living environment. It is important strategic for the sustainable development.In recent years, Shanghai's rapid growth of motor vehicles, a growing number of cars entering the family caused unprecedented havoc to Shanghai traffic. Despite public management to make best efforts, the result of expanding local roads lead to more traffic flow and plug, the speed is too low and lead to more tail gas pollution, how to solve the problem is very important and difficult. So it is really urgent to reform the existing traffic mode, the development of three-dimensional traffic to improve urban traffic conditions.However, city traffic planning is a whole works, we must take into account the requirements of urban sustainable development. From the view of sustainable development, urban public transport system, is not only the way that how to achieve efficiency and convenience, and safety transportation, but also a fundamentally improvement of the quality of living environment, urban system and the proper coordination of natural systems relations. Thus we can realize the urban population, resources, and the environment "trinity" of sustainable development.From the perspective of public administration, the author first outlined the sustainable development of urban public transport mode, and then introduced Beijing, Shenyang, Tokyo, Berlin and other domestic cities and overseas cities' public transport mode, and summary the hints for China's public transport management from those samples. Though the survey on Shanghai urban public transport mode and method with several professionals who work in the field of public transportation. The author gets more systematic and comprehensive analysis on public transport mode, analysis of the public transport problems. Based on the survey, the author do more study of public management to further explore sustainable development of the urban public transport mode program, then final proposed, in Shanghai, with the background of the overall urban development, population distribution adjustment, the rapid development of metro transportation, the conventional, single-service functions on the ground transit mode no longer meet international metropolis rapid development. It should adhere to the basis of the development of public transport, metro transportation as the backbone, building a rapid transit network, and wide range of public transport which means coordinated development of the integrated transport system. To meet different trip distance, the diversified needs of different travel, multi-level mode of public transport will be the new choice to maintain competitiveness and achieve Metropolitan Bus Priority strategy effective. |
