Research On Performance Evaluation Of Equipment Maintenance Outsourcing System

Equipment maintenance is a main operation in the corporation especially in the capital intensive industry. With aggravating competition currently in the market and great change in the running circumstance, the outsourcing of equipment maintenance is a very important means for a plant to decrease cost, cut down risks, gain competition advantage and to convert management model.Performance evaluation plays a very important role in the process of the outsourcing of equipment maintenance. In outsourcing, the performance evaluation is a decision. We can not only judge weather the strategy is successful and the performance in the process of the outsourcing is satisfied through evaluation, but also can improve the enterprise strategy and the operation procedure. Research of equipment maintenance outsourcing performance evaluation relate to the enterprise strategy, the operation procedure, enterprise and the outsourcing vendor. So it is of great importance in the study of maintenance outsourcing.Firstly, the background of this research is introduced. After summarizing the theoretical research of outsourcing and supply chain performance evaluation, this paper differentiates and analyses the main contents of equipment maintenance outsourcing performance process evaluation based on the system theory. Subsequently, on the basis of the equipment maintenance outsourcing procedure tactics analysis, the process quality of the equipment maintenance outsourcing implementation, the capacity of the outsourcing vendor and the harmonization between enterprise and the outsourcing vendor are evaluated。At last, the method of evaluating equipment maintenance outsourcing performance dynamically and synthetically is presented. In the process, the holistic performance evaluation of the equipment maintenance outsourcing system is analyzed grounding on the time dimension tactics, and the procedure of applying Data Envelopment Analysis and Window Analysis in evaluating equipment maintenance outsourcing performance dynamically and synthetically is presented as reference for enterprises.
