Some Main Problems Of The Urban Transportation Planning In Chongqing

Nowadays, with the quick development of economics and urbanization, the urban transportation problems in Chongqing are very serious. As a basic measure solving urban transportation problems, the urban transportation planning has been concerned greatly.In this paper, taking the new whole urban transportation planning in Chongqing city as a good example, a simple forecast for the urban transportation demand in the near future is made by analytical methods of regression and representation, which is based on analyzing the current situations of city economic construction, urban construction, transportation network and city transportation in Chongqing. At the same time, some basic principles suitable for the urban transportation planning are proposed on the ground of actual transportation situations in Chongqing city. In the end, several main problems that must be solved emphatically in the city transportation planning are discussed and some corresponding measures and proposals are provided.
