Study On E-government Information Resource Integration

In the rapid development of information technology today, along with the building of e-government in-depth, e-government information resources total quantity unceasingly increases, the quality unceasingly enhances in our country. However, as the e-government system is a large and complex system, moreover, China is still in the initial phase of building of e-government, in the process of building the absence of an overall, unified planning, the phenomena of different construction time, different manufacturers, different technical equipment, and databases in different formats exist in various systems These lead to the existing system "isolated islands of information" widespread and difficult to share information resources, the inter-departmental coordination and cooperation more difficult. These problems are seriously affecting the healthy, orderly development of our e-government system. Therefore, improving the system interconnection and achieving integration of resources in these systems between e-government is the only way forward.This paper introduces the concept of the government information resources and development of e-government at home and abroad and makes clear description in the connotation of information resources, features, content and sources. Then this article gives a detailed analysis about the construction of e-government in our country, and sums up some problems about the concept of system which is not unified, inconsistent data structure, inconsistent model and so on. In addition, the causes and the corresponding solutions of "isolated islands of information" are given from hardware and software in detail. Finally, the article points out features and principles which information resources integration should adhere to and factors of information resources integration in the construction of e-government, and brings forward framework of integration of the e-government information resources which is based on the data center on the basis of details in integration of the e-government information resources and Web Service, XML, and other key technologies.
