The Relationship Between Growth Elements And Growth Path Of Start-up Technology SMEs

Entrepreneurship and innovation activities as the bridge of technology into practical productive are becoming the engine of economic development and the important driving force. High-tech industries replacing the traditional industries has become the main engine of the world economy growth. As the crucial majority of the high-tech industry, technology SMEs have made significant contribution to the rapid development of global economy, and have become the most dynamic points of growth throughout the development of national economy. However, the development of Chinese SMEs is later than the development countries' and the corresponding theoretical research is immature, so that the SMFs are lack of adequate guidance to help them operate companies and also don't have enough understanding of the features of technology SMEs, which results to the business failures. Thus, it is very important and urgent to do some research on the best path of technology SMEs aiming at the features of start-up technology SMEs growth environment and the process of growth.First, this paper proposes a concept of "Growth Ba" to describe a more truly and clearly picture of enterprise growth, and analysis the mechanism of growth elements to the enterprise growth. Then, a more in-depth analysis on the relationship between SMEs growth and the "Growth Ba" is given from three aspects: the forces of the "Growth Ba", the direction of the "Growth Ba" and the evolution of the "Growth Ba". Finally, this paper constructs a dynamics model of SMEs growth based on the analysis of "Growth Ba". An empirical research of SMEs growth elements has been done based on the above theoretical analysis. First, an initial scale of measuring growth resources and capacity of start-up technology SMEs has been explored based on many scholars' research and experts interviewed. Then, the scale is corrected by the data which is collected by the initial scale. After this, the paper conducts an in-depth research of the interactions among the growth factors, using factor analysis and correlation analysis. Through cluster analysis the samples are clustered into three types of enterprises based on the different distribution features of enterprise growth elements. Finally, this paper builds a model of the relationship between the growth elements and the growth paths based on the theoretical research and the empirical research, and the corresponding business growth strategies are also given on the basis of model analysis.
