Deng Zihui was a great proletariat revolutionist and Marxist, he wasalso a remarkable expert in peasant movement and countryside work. After 1949, duringthe period when he led countryside work, he was in search of socialist hardly anddevoted his life to the development of Chinese agriculture and countryside, therefore theunique agricultural thought of Deng Zihui came into being. Deng Zihui's agriculturalthought is valuable spirit wealth of our communist Party, it's also a part of Mao ZedongThought which is a combination of collective wisdom of our Party. Although this leadercontributed a lot to the development of Chinese agriculture, in academia there lackgeneral research into his agricultural thought. So we should analyze and study DengZihui's agricultural thought to know how it took shape and what its content was. Aboveall, his agricultural thought not only gives positive contribution to Chinese agriculturaldevelopment in history, but also gives reference and enlightenment in Chineseagricultural development and reform, in the realization of Chinese agriculturalmodernization, as well as in the complete resolution of the "three agricultural" problem.So, this article relies on other's research achievement and points out their defects,and attempts to analyze the formation of Deng Zihui's agricultural thought, describesits content, evaluates it and shows its enlightenment to us.The article can be divided into four parts:Part one is the introduction. In this part the author explains why she chooses thistopic and gives detailed analyses and study about the present situation of Deng Zihui'sagricultural thought, she also points out possible problems of present research as well asits defect and concludes the new, different ideas in this article.In part two the author analyzes the formation of Deng Zihui's agricultural thoughtfrom three aspects. That is, the formation of Deng Zihui's agricultural thought isfounded on his personal experience, his seeking truth from facts, and his concerns aboutthe ordinary people's opinions.This part is the basic premise to know Deng Zihui's agricultural thought, it's alsothe creative part of the article. Few people talk about this point in the existent reference,so the author attempts to analyze and study his agricultural thought and hopes tocontribute something to the research of Deng Zihui's agricultural thought. Part three—the main part of the article is about the content of Deng Zihui'sagricultural thought. According to large relative literature, the article gives anintegrative description of Deng Zihui's agricultural thought, including Deng Zihui'sdiscussion about the important position of agriculture, taking cooperative road ofagriculture, implementing contract responsibility system of agriculture, taking grain asthe main foundation and developing a diversified economy in agriculture according todifferent situation, moving towards mountain areas and developing the agriculturaleconomy there, developing and spreading agro-scientific techniques, and developingcommodity economy in countryside. From these aspects we can see his greatcontribution to Chinese agricultural development.Part four is about the positive evaluation and enlightenment of Deng Zihui'sagricultural thought from two aspects. One is his agricultural thought enriches andperfects the theory of Mao Zedong Thought. The other is he positively explored ruralreform during the process of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. Besides,Deng Zihui insisted on seeking truth from facts, bravely exploring and created newagricultural system, which gives us enlightenment in the aspects of thinking about therural reform and reinforcing the foundational position of agriculture.
