The essential of enterprise innovation is knowledge production. Based on the innovation and knowledge, in this article, the author analyzed the enterprise innovation and the knowledge production, and thought that the knowledge for enterprise innovation came from the internal production and importation of external knowledge; different sources of knowledge innovation performance of enterprises would have different effects. On the basis of discussion of above, in this paper, a new knowledge production function model was put forward to analyses the factors which affect the enterprise innovation and knowledge production. And the author used this model to measure the enterprises innovation through questionnaire to enterprises from Peal-River Delta. The result shows that the difference resources of knowledge production will lead to the difference innovation performance respectively. And the R&D funds, the investment of introduction of technology, the industry property, the knowledge learnt from government and the other enterprises in the cluster will affect the sail of new products significantly, while the patents application will be affected by the R&D funds, the investment of introduction of technology, the industry property, the knowledge learnt from the university, the government and the other enterprises in the cluster. It also gives some advice on prompting the innovation.
