Approaches Of Knowledge Production, Distribution And Application

An opening system composed of knowledge production, knowledge distribution and knowledge application is the foundation of knowledge economy. Effective production, distribution and application of knowledge rely on the approach to knowledge production, distribution and application. In methodology, approaches used in knowledge production, distribution and application are the embodiment of general meaning of approach in activities of knowledge production, distribution, and application. At the same time, these approaches display their own respective characteristics and the systematic connection between them.The purpose of this paper is to introduce the historical analysis method to discuss the production, distribution and application of knowledge. First, the author analyses approaches of knowledge production in different period respectively. In agricultural society, the approach of knowledge is experiential. In industry society, the approach of knowledge is formulized. While in knowledge society, it is digitized. Secondly, the approach of knowledge distribution is analyzed historically. It can be seen that there are three kinds of mainstream: point to point method, point to side method and point to point interactive method. Thirdly, this paper conducts an analysis of the approach of knowledge application. The knowledge is mainly applied by experienced technical approach in agricultural society, by scientific transformation approach in industry society and by systematized approach in knowledge society. The digitized and systematized trend of approach of knowledge production, distribution and application is thriving today. The last chapter summarizes not only different characteristics of approaches which are fit for social developmental level in certain historic period, but features of approaches used in knowledge production, distribution and application. Based on the studies above, the author proposes the system of knowledge approaches which consists of the approach of knowledge production, the approach of knowledge distribution and the approach of knowledge application. In the knowledge society this system is totally connected with the national innovation system and is an important tool for us to build the national innovation system.
