The Study On The International Competitiveness Of Poultry Industry In Hebei Province

Hebei Province has already been a big poultry production province in the country formany years' development. According to the date of annual production, the poultryproduction made by Hebei accounts to 7ï¼…of the whole country's production per year, thatis before the top three in the country. After joining WTO, the poultry industry of Hebei isput in the frame of World Trade Organization, its development faces the deepinfluence. During this new stage, the poultry products in our province will have morechances to enter the international market, fighting for the market share with foreign poultryproducts. Under a such big background, how to expand the market portion and promote theinternational competitiveness of poultry industry in our province, prevent the importedpoultry products from causing assaulting to the national market, seems especiallyimportant. At first, this article makes the simple introduction to the concept of internationalcompetitiveness and intension of international competitiveness of poultry industry, andproposes the understanding of its intension in this article. Then analyzes the poultryproduction state of Hebei from some respects such as the poultry output, the output value,meat production structure of Hebei over the years; analyze the condition of poultryconsumption of Hebei according to everyone poultry consumption of Hebei over theyears; and analyze the poultry trade state of Hebei by the imports and exports of thepoultry and its products of Hebei over the years, on the basis of which predicts itsdevelopment trends. As to the appraisal of poultry industry's international competitivenessof Hebei, this article makes evaluation on the international competitiveness of the poultryproducts of Hebei, using three individual indexes: the international market share,international trade index, and comparative advantage index. Then with the method ofcomprehensive indexes evaluating system, appraise the international competitiveness ofthe poultry industry of Hebei. On this basis, combining with Michael Porter's "diamond"model, the article find out the factors that influencing poultry industry's internationalcompetitiveness of Hebei: Direct factor, including price and cost, quality and security;Indirect factor, including the factors of production, market demands, relevant industries,and government behaviors. Finally, through the analysis of the content above, summarize countermeasures and suggestions in promoting poultry industry's internationalcompetitiveness of Hebei: firstly, establish the global visual field and market strategythinking, include: Deepen the system reform, exploit the international market; secondly,implement the green production of the poultry products, guarantee quality's security,include: standardize the production and management of poultries, set up the system ofimproved variety breeding of poultry, strengthen the construction of prevention system forpoultry's disease, perfect the system of the poultry quality security: thirdly, developtechnology and train in a more cost-effective manner, improve products processing ability,include: accelerate the construction of industrial system of feed and improve the feedconversion ratio, strengthen the products processing ability of poultry manufacturingenterprises, improve employee's quality: finally, establish the system of modem industry,improve the international competitiveness of the poultry products, include: foster leadingenterprises, advance scale, intensivism production, set up sound market informationservice system.
