It is being concerned widely by government and society that how highway traffic reflects socio-economic development and how to adapt to the adaptation extensive of regional trunk freeway development. It is becoming an important topic in regional economics study that how trunk freeway traffic adapt to economic development and mostly efficiency play a role in supporting the development of regional economies in the region.The development of regional highway network present mainly on improving overall, reasonable distribution structure, increasing connection and capacity. It is closely related to both the step of economic and social development and the input of highway transportation infrastructure whether the development level of highway is lagging behind or ahead of adaptation.The paper grasps the key relationship of between socio-economic development stage and improving overall, reasonable distribution structure, increasing connection and capacity of regional highway network, based on evaluation system and trunk freeway adaptation extensive of development. At the same time, the paper does quantitative analysis and evaluation to development relationship between highway construction and socio-economic development by methods of correlation analysis and analogy analysis. The conclusions are drawn that highway insufficient infrastructure, low density, a big gap, main highway imbalanced development of low grade, poor quality and no fully formed trunk highway network in Jilin province. For a period of time, trunk freeway is the current focus on the development of road transportation and to further improve service quality and standards.Through of Jilin province highway traffic situation adaptive analysis and evaluation, the paper studies the relationship of highway traffic and regional economic development, forecasts future trunk freeway development adapting to the size and volume ahead of target, provides the need to support the development of freeway construction and highway construction widen investment channels, highway construction increasing investment in science and technology, also, strengthening dynamic management of freeway network planning policy measures and recommendations. These will speed up the whole province future construction of transportation infrastructure for the government.
