| Manufacturing Industry is a general concept, including all the producing sections that make raw materials into machinery equipment and social final needs. Manufacturing industry occupies a very important position in the national economy as a whole. Therefore, the effective use of foreign investment in JiangSu manufacturing industry play a key role in promoting the socio-economic development.This paper is based on international investment theory and industrial structure theory, some empirical researches on the upgrading of the manufacturing industry are combined with the data to analyze economic phenomenon. How foreign direct investment affects manufacturing industry of JiangSu is discussed quantitatively and qualitatively. In this paper, the status of manufacturing industry of JiangSu Province invested by foreign capitals is described, upgrading of the industrial structure effect is analyzed empirically. Also, mechanism of how FDI affects manufacturing industry is discussed to explore the essence of upgrading.Finally, this paper analyzes the negative effects of FDI in the manufacturing industry. At the meantime, the existing problems in manufacturing industry are pointed out. Specific measures should be taken to upgrade manufacturing industry of JiangSu province. |
