The Ethos Of The Necromancy And Ghost And Folk Belief In HanZhong

The belief of necromancy and ghost and folk belief are linked close to regional folk-custom. This article aims to apply theory of religion to study of regional folklore, to reflect this district's characteristic of social culture by religion custom of HanZhong district. Because of unique physical geography and social historical conditions, there has dense relic of the beliefs of necromancy and ghost, which are intermixed with the local folk beliefs. They take on complex and various belief systems and social custom and have the profound impact on yield and life of civilians of HanZhong and its progress of social modernization. By reviewing and studying the ethos of the necromancy and ghost and folk belief from historical and modern angle, this article aims to probe into the characteristic, social historical influence and function of the convention in the deep-seated sense. We should protect national traditional culture, at the same time, throw away the ethos of the necromancy and bad habits and construct healthy and harmonious society.There are three parts in this article: exordium, text and conclusion.In exordium, it generalizes the reason of existence of the culture of ghosts and gods and proper attitude on this culture.The text is divided into four parts: they are "general situation in HanZhong", "discussion on ethos of the necromancy and ghost in HanZhong district", "from the ethos of the necromancy and ghost to folk belief', "modern relic of the belief of necromancy and ghost and folk belief.In the first chapter, I will introduce the general situation in HanZhong. It has centuries-old history, about 2,700 years Old from the instauration. Unique environment and geographical conditions and abundant humanism situation are made up of the profound base of culture of necromancy and ghost.In the second chapter, I mouse out the reason of the existence of ethos of the necromancy and ghost. They are: the crisis come from nature, the crisis come from society, primordial religion of aboriginal, rich and colorful immigrant culture, influence of custom from Ba and Shu, Jing and Chu.In the third chapter, we discuss the developing progress of the ethos of the necromancy and ghost. With the development of ethos of the necromancy and ghost, it becomes inducement of naissance of Taoism and presents the trend that beliefs of necromancy and ghost evolve into religion. At the same time, it presents the trend that faith tends towards the folk, and interleaves with folk belief.In the forth chapter, it shows modern relic of the beliefs of necromancy and ghost and folk belief by seeing about the county annals and field reviewing. It contains modern existence of necromancy and ghost, adoration of ghost and soul, worship of supernatural being of Taoism and Buddhism, belief of supernatural being of the folk, idol and hero worship.The conclusion is reasonable appraisal about the belief of necromancy and ghost and folk belief in HanZhong district.
