With the rapid popularization of the Internet, as a brand-new mode of trade, E-commerce is both the future direction for the development of trade and the demand of our country's independent innovation and international business competition. E-commerce in China has witnessed rapid development in recent years. However, in this very domain, a number of restrictions that hinder the stepping-forward of this new business pattern do exist. Conspicuously, the problem of unfaithfulness has been a tremendous blockade in the way of its robust development and a bottle-neck of China's e-commerce. This paper, first of all, analyzes the manifestation of the lack of faithfulness in e-commerce as well as the causation of the faithfulness issues in e-commerce, brings forward the conception of Faithfulness Security on this basis. Furthermore, the paper researches the countermeasure in achieving Faithfulness Security in e-commerce from two aspects—Technology Safeguard and Environment Construction. The first conception stresses how to guarantee Faithfulness Security using Identity Authentication and Payment Technology; and, the second one focuses on network environment construction and social environment construction.Identity Authentication: explains the functions of Digital Signature and Digital Certificate, claiming that using Digital Certificate to validate the identities of the two parties in a single transaction enhances Faithfulness Security, and the introduction of Third Party ID Certification brings the credit to a higher level. At present, the Digital Certificate is still in its initial period; however, we can foresee that its future application is going to be widespread.Payment Technology: it is the key to the realization of Faithfulness Security in e-commerce. Currently, faithfulness assurance is provided by applying Third Party Payment Mode and Force Credit Mode, that is, for the buyer "COD"(Cash On Delivery) and for the seller "Payment in Advance". The paper makes comparative study between Third Party Payment Mode and Force Credit Mode, reasoning their respective fields of application.Network Environment: Website Credit Appraisal and Accusation Institutions are the most popular methods applied for Faithfulness Security, by which unfaithful deeds may be prevented. Being aware of the defection in current faithfulness appraisal system, the author of this paper proposes that a uniform credit appraisal and administration organization should be established.Social Environment: analyzes the establishment of Faithfulness Security-related laws and rules and the education for citizens' awareness of faithfulness. Claims that proper laws and rules should be passed putting sterner punishments to unfaithful activities; in addition, education for reinforcement to faithfulness and moral quality should be stressed, aiming to enhance citizens' consciousness of being faithful during consumptions, in order to build up a favorable social environment for e-commerce Faithfulness Security.In conclusion, the paper proposes that the construction of e-commerce faithfulness security is a systematic project, which requires joint efforts by the governments, e-commerce websites and Parties to the transaction, from a variety of aspects, including technical guarantee and environmental guarantee and so on, to establish the electronic business faithfulness security system.
