Research On Difficulties And Countermeasures Of The Convergence On Agricultural Products And The Modern Circulation System In China

Since the 1990s, China has committed to construct a modem circulation system. Supermarket has been a rapid development in the system. Combined with the experience of the developed countries, supermarket will gradually become the major retail terminal of fresh products for urban residents of China. And it requires that the agricultural products in sales should reach a high standard in quality, packaging and varieties. But the entities of agricultural business are the "small-scale, decentralized" farmers. And their products generally are unable to meet the demand of supermarket. So the change of the pattern on the circulation channels of agricultural products leads to the contradiction between production and circulation and the problem on the convergence between the "small-scale, decentralized" farmers and the market. Therefore, at present constructing the organizational carriers between the supply of the small-scale farmers and the demand of the big market, strengthening the reform of the intermediary organizations and overcoming the drawbacks of decentralized operating become the top priority of the convergence on agricultural products and the modern circulation system in our country.Based on the analysis of the status quo about the agricultural production and the modern circulation system in China, we come to the major difficulty faced by them is the lagging of the intermediary organizations. In view of the reasons on the delaying, the successful experience of foreign intermediary organizations, and the importance and necessity on strengthening reforms of the intermediary organizations in the circulation of agricultural products, we should implement the reforms of the farmers' specialized cooperation organizations or develop the leading wholesale enterprises or promote the leading chain enterprises to involve in the integration on supply chain to solve the problems.
