The Social Change Of Inner Mongolian Pastoral Area Under The National Development Policy

Social change is the one of the most important subject of anthropology. Anthropologist believes that the culture change are caused by two reasons from interior and exterior: the internal reasons are caused by the social interior changes ; the external reasons are caused by the natural environment change or the social environment change like population migration, contacting with other ethic groups, the transformation of political system. This thesis presented the social changes of Inner Mongolia's Pastoral Area from the establishment of PRC, taking Dalu community of Khesigten banner in Chifeng city in Inner Mongolia as an example. In this thesis, the first-hand information from practical study and materials from senior researchers are united to instruct the reason of pastoral area's social change is not leads by the interior change of Mongolian society but by the government's policies for developing minority regions and reformation of economic system. The more than 50 years' social changes in Dalai community is described from the aspects of the usage of pasture and water recourses, living style, production patterns and economic structure.This paper consists of three parts: introduction, main-part, and conclusion.Introduction (Chapter One) presents the research role, research aim, research methods of the thesis and related achievements on the topic.In Chapter Two : the writer mainly introduced the location, natural environment and social situation of Dalu community; described the process of settlement of residents in detail; stated the reformation of pastoral system and the production and life condition of people's life from the establishment of The Republic People of China to 1984.In the Chapter Three: the author discussed the current situation of social and ecological environment of animal husbandry economy; introduced their life and economic situation( incomes and expenditure); expounded the situation of social differentiation, the reasons of formation of the phenomenon and the social changes that caused by social differentiation.In Chapter Four, the writer presented the change of the exploit power of water recourse people's life from the establishment of PRC; analyzed the effects of establishment of the national fishery and the national leveled nature protection area on people's life; stated the influences of tourism on economical and cultural aspects of herdsmen.Conclusion summarizes the basic argument put in the thesis, and indicates that it is helpful to describe the whole Inner Mongolian social change's studies that discusses the social change in Dalu community from the establishment of The Republic People of China to 1984.
