Research On Adjustment And Optimization Of The Industrial Structure Of The Resource-based Cities In The Western China

Resource-based cities are special kind cities, whose forms and developments are reliable on the resource and have unique characteristic. The industry structure also depends on resource strongly. And they are easy to fall into crisis of"city decays as coal resource drains". Except few port cities, great deal of cities in the western China depends on exploring resource to develop their own economy, so the development and the evolution of the resource-based cities play a very important role towards the whole western China. Therefore this paper has done the research on the industry structure adjusting and the optimization in the transformation of the resource-based cities in the western China by multi-disciplinary theories and research methodologies such as comparison qualitative and quantitative analyses.This paper reviews and summarizes the theories of resource-based cities'transformation and the industrial structure adjusting and optimization, defines the concept of resource-based cities; selects 17 resource-based cities in the western China as research objects and analyses their industry structure condition from the GDP structure and employment structure, bring forward the basic principle of the industrial structure optimization in the western China; analyses reasons which influence the industrial structure adjusting, and builds the Grey dynamic linear programming model; does the programming for Panzhihua, using SWOT to review its internal and external environment, and puts forward some suggestions from angles of theory and practice.
