Production plan plays an important role in the management of mine production. Whether it is scientific or not will directly influence the possibility of continual, steady and balanced production. Furthermore, it will directly relate to the future and fate of an enterprise in the furious competition of market economy. The underground mining system usually presents its relative complex procedure, most major processes of which also include some small ones, and it is restricted by the dynamic of working site and spatio-temporal aspect of production unit in the mining production process. Therefore, production plan was complex and difficult.Along with the development of computer science, the speed and scope of memory, management, computation and dada analysis are therefore enhanced. Especially, the rapid development of computer graphics and three-dimensional visualization technology offer a favorable environment for three-dimensional visualization scheduling of production plan. In three-dimensional environment, the spatial distribution and spatial relation of underground excavation projects will be perspicuous. In addition, three-dimensional geological block model can provide a rapid calculation model for volume and reserves calculation. Therefore, the study on alternant production plan scheduling in three-dimensional visualization environment is becoming more and more extensive.The Dongguashan mine in Tongling has been taken as a project example in this paper. According to the basic characteristics of mine production and requirement of production plan scheduling, the key technology of visualization plan scheduling has been studied, including established drill hole database, three-dimensional model of orebody, intrusive bodies, and rock strata. Moreover, geological block model has also been established. Based on planar plane and section view drawings of mines, the spatial designing lines of both existed and designed driving roadways, which are used for plan scheduling, have been obtained. Spatial designing lines of the stopes have been obtained as well by cutting the orebody model. General tasks have been generated by adding property to the spatial designing lines, and derived tasks such as blasting and filling have been established according to general tasks. Quantity of each task has been calculated, and tasks have been arranged. At last, each level's excavation and mining situation of stopes from prospecting lines 48 to 58 has been analyzed according to Gatt Chart and the result of three-dimensional visualization results. Quantity of each month in 2007 has been worked out.Through production plan scheduling of Dongguashan mine in 2007, it is proved that visualization plan scheduling in three-dimensional graphic environment by using computer can be successfully realized and applied to practice. This technique can greatly reduce the complexity and difficulty of underground mine plan scheduling and speed up the mine's digitalization.
