External trade has an important part in the economic development, which affects the local economics and the international economy. It is increasing the demand and supply of the local product also, it guarantee and enrich the external market. The economy of Yemen is affected by the complexities of regional and international trade relations. Consequently, the capabilities of Yemen to achieve higher revenues in international trade transaction within the current strategies are the issue of this study. The mentioned above factors affect the regional and international economic level.The first aim of this paper is to discuss the current status or statute of the trade policy in Yemen and highlight the weaknesses in the export and import activities.The second aim is to show the effect of the signed trade agreements regarding ten top articles. In addition, the paper suggests some process by which to develop trade in Yemen within the limits of economic safety. Thus, it depends on the foreign trade statistics from the Central Agent of Statistics, which is considered to be the official authority to publicize Yemen's statistics in the field of Yemen Foreign Trade. The Central Agent of Statistics relies on customs records as essential resources to acquire data. The data will be analyzed and results will be examined and interpreted. Finally, recommendations for improvement in the trade process will be made.
