Agglomeration Of Xinjiang Industry: The Distribution And Important Factors Analysis

The paper studies the distribution of agglomeration of Xinjiang industry and the important factors to its distribution. We attempt to address the following questions: Why are some industries concentrated in a few locations while others scattered across many places? What decides industrial agglomeration or dispersion and the important factors to agglomeration of Xinjiang industries.The thesis takes review and comparative study on the agglomeration theory and its development in history, We conclude the basic factors of industrial agglomeration and its operating mechanism. Then,We investigates spatial concentration of Xinjiang industries using the data in 1995 and 2004. It was found that high agglomeration exists in Xinjiang industries, and many of Xinjiang industries were highly geographically concentrated in several regions. There are several reasons , one is that some industries in Xinjiang is source oriented Industries due to factor endowment theories , another reason is that some Industries are in the early period of development,the industries are only agglomerate in a few locations. So they have high agglomeration. An econometric model analyze the important factors of agglomeration . It was found that the government in different regions of Xinjiang should participate economic activities at a proper degree that can activate industrial agglomeration, On contrary ,It will be reduced if the government interfere economic activities too much, At last ,we made some conclusions about this thesis, and conclude some suggestions to develop industries in Xinjiang.
