There was a consanguineous correlation among land-use, the development of society economic and the ecology safety. So knowing the new space-time variety pattern and the actuality of the land-use was very important. It played a very important role for establishing the aspects and emphases of land tidy, working up effective macroscopically control system of land tidy, planing future use of the water and soil resources in reason, advancing the utilize ratio and improving the environment. The paper took Hebei Taihang Mountain for example; used remote sensing technology and investigated the land-use type of the section. Based on the investigation, the paper took a tour division for this area and the research results were as follows.First of all, the Mosaic and Subset tools of the Erdas Imagine software were used in the work of delimiting study bound on the remote sensing image. The key of technology was that connected the image together using Mosaic tool and traced out the study bound of the area. Then delimited study bound using Subset tool. This method possessed the merits of operation briefness and results precision. It remedied the lack of the former of this study in the extreme.Secondly, based on the remote sensing image interpretation method of supervised classification and unsupervised classification, overlay classification that was a new method of image interpretation was brought forward. According to the case study, the key of the method rested with that the recode should be taken partly after supervised classification and unsupervised classification. That is to say the recode was only of the representative object of interpretation. Like this the overlay disposal would be more adequate. Then another recode was needed after overlay classification. Only by this way the classified effect could be ensured.Thirdly, the paper took the counties as the least study cells and gained the distributing and area information of the eight land-use types of the study section using overlay classification of the remote sensing interpretation method. The research results showed that the total of the study area was 31150.74km~2, the area of forest land was 3148.92km~2, the rate of which was 10.11%; the area of shrub land was 7359.65km~2, the rate of which was 23.63 %; the area of grass land was 6069.30km~2, the rate of which was 19.48 %; the area of unirrigated land was 6436.70km~2, the rate of which was 20.66 %; the area of irrigated land was 4624.95km~2, the rate of which was 14.85 %; the area of residential area was 2782.49km~2, the rate of which was 8.93 %; the area of water area was 342.46km~2, the rate of which was 1.10%; the area of bare land was 386.27km~2, the rate of which was 1.24%. The data offered a strong sustain for the durative manage of this area.Fourthly, the classification precision estimate and the analyses of Kappa index were taken using the Erdas Imagine software. The total precision of unsupervised classification, supervised classification and overlay classification was separately 0.83, 0.80 and 0.88. Allthe results could satisfy the classification request. But the overlay classification was the best one of the three considering the interpretation precision. The research result indicated that overlay classification possessed the merits of operation briefness, less influence of man-made, high precision and so on. It played an important role for improving the speed and the precision of remote sensing image interpretation.Fifthly, colligating the principle of the tour division, the climate, the cover and its rate on the earth's surface, the richness extent and the distributing status of water resource and population density were confirmed as clustering analytic index of the tour division. The tour section was divided by ration method using the index above. The area of research was divided into three tour sections. They were the north integration tour section of Hebei Taihang Mountain, the middle forest prevent sunstroke holiday tour section of Hebei Taihang Mountain and the south Zhao country old culture science review tour section of Hebei Taihang Mountain. The paper nailed down the tour resource features and theme of this area and provided the foundation for the future program and management.Sixth, the paper summed up the main tour resource, its area, feature and advantage. The areas of the three tour sections were separately 17594.43km~2, 8244.47 km~2 and 5334.94 km~2. Based on the data, the landscape pattern and its diversity were studied in the article. The results indicated that the landscape diversity index, dominance index and equality index were marked difference between the first tour section and the third tour section. Moreover the otherness between the second tour section and the first and third tour sections was not marked. The second tour section was at the transition belt of the first and third tour sections. The analyses proved that the tour division was scientific and impersonal. Also this study can provided the warranty for the ecology economic development.Finally, the tour subregion and small section were divided by qualitative method according to the tourism resource features (such as revolution history relique, local folk customs, special local product and so on) and the fact distributing status of the tourism resources. The area of research was divided into seven tour subregions and nineteen tour small sections. Also the area and its rate of main landscape types of the tour subregions and tour small sections were calculated. Then it can offer the basic data for the latter research.
