The Academic Study And Empirical Analysis On Urban Competitiveness Of Main Cities In Jilin Province

With the development of economic globalization's advancement, the disposition speed of resources in the global scope unceasingly speeds up, competition between various subjects is also more and more intense. As the agglomeration of resources and the growing pole of country, the competition between countries will highlight for the competition between cities. Since reform and opening up, the development of Jilin province economy have laid behind eastern developed areas of our country obviously, Indeed, there are many causes, including all kinds of system or non- system factors. Through researching, this article finds that the insufficient of urban system's competitive ability in Jilin Province is one of the main reasons.This article profits from the theories and the measures in analyzing urban competitive ability of predecessors, chooses 8 prefectural metropolises of Jilin province and Changchun as research samples. Through studying the whole competitive abilities of the 9 main cities and structural system of the main cities, and hope find out the real questions in the urban system of Jilin province, then give some reasonable suggestion.On reference to the theories of regional economics, urban economics, economics geography, agglomeration economics, this article has tried to find out the real questions in development of main cities of Jilin province.This article is composed of four chapters apart from the preface and summary.Chapter one, the concept, connotation and research progress of urban competitiveness. This part mainly introduces the concept, connotation, domestic and foreign research progress and basis of theory.Chapter two, commentary of urban competitiveness appreciable system. This part mainly introduces the domestic and foreign urban competitiveness appreciable system and differences between the both.Chapter three, construction of the main cities'competitiveness index system and empirical research in Jilin province. This part mainly constructs the index system of urban competitiveness, and then does research with the data of main cities in Jilin province.Chapter four, analysis of questions on main cities'competitiveness and policy suggestion in Jilin province. This part mainly put forward some corresponding measurement and suggestion on the basis of analysis results.
