A Study On Logistic Service Delivery System Based On Logistics Capability

Along with the increasingly crucial market competition, logistics plays a more important role in the management of an enterprise. And there is a crying need for logistics service in our whole society. However, the enterprises offering logistics services are facing unprecedented challenges under the background of logistics market which has been completely opened to the outside world since China has been a member of WTO. The surviving of logistics service organization lies in constantly improving and optimizing the exist delivery system of logistics service so as to provide excellent service for customers while keeping the cost in a certain level. At present, studies on designing a delivery system of service focus on the entire service industry. But there is no paper dedicating to design delivery system of logistics service specially. And most studies on logistics service used to strive for products and strategies of logistics service rather than how to design excellent deliver system which is capable of delivering the logistics products to customers successfully, realizing the strategy of logistics service within an unit. By means of papers, graphology and analysis, this thesis introduces the designing theory of service delivery of Marketing into logistics service management, studies how to design a delivery system of logistics service which can meet the customer's requirements, struggling to be a light for the confused logistics service units.Starting from the understanding of the logistics services and logistics capability, this thesis dedicates to elaborate the theory of logistics delivery, putting forward the fundamental principals and methods of designing delivery system of logistics service, introducing a basic flow of integrated design for the system as well as establishing the main frame of the system. In addition, it contributes to work out a system which will function to evaluate the logistics capability of delivery system of logistics service. Finally, this thesis points out a model which functions to evaluate the mature-level of the above mentioned system in order to seek shortcomings and improve the logistics capability.All in all, this thesis works out three major results: (1) introducing the theory of designing service delivery system into the field of logistics management in order to provide theories as backbone for logistic organizations to offer satisfactory service. (2) Analyzing the effects, advantages and disadvantages which result from applying the exist methods of designing delivery system in the field of logistics service. As well, get a system which can raise the logistics capability of the organization by adopting the method of integrating design. (3) Establish an evaluating system and mature model for the logistics capability of the logistic service delivery system.This thesis dedicates to bring a new idea to the logistics management field by importing the theory on designing a system of delivering logistics services from the Service Marketing, putting forward the subject about designing system of delivering logistics services and provide a theoretical support for logistics service organizations to design the system which functions to improve the logistics capability.
