Based on the Chinese corporations'environment, the present study examines the moderating effect of supervisory affective commitment on the relationship between perceived supervisory support and job involvement. Results reveal that:Firstly, multiple differences in age, length of service, academic rank and position of employee have been founded on subordinates'perceived supervisory support, supervisory affective commitment and job involvement.Secondly, correlative analyses indicate that perceived supervisory support is more strongly related to employee to supervisory affective commitment; Employee to supervisory affective commitment is more strongly related to employee's job involvement; perceived benefit cared, information supported and value identified with in the perceived supervisory support scale have significant influence on employee's job involvement.Thirdly, hierarchical regression analyses indicate that supervisory affective commitment can mediate completely the relationship between perceived benefit cared, perceived information supported and employee's job involvement, and supervisory affective commitment can mediate partly the relationship between perceived value identified with and employee's job involvement.To sum up, the present study indicates that the mechanism of perceived supervisory support influencing subordinates'job involvement is more complex, and employee to supervisory affective commitment takes an important role in the mechanism.
