Contents:Enterprises and individuals have to learn how to promote their core competencies in a given time in order to survive and prosper in the knowledge ages. Promoting the capacity to learn is the foundation of promoting core competencies. How can we promote the capacity to learn with the help of knowledge management system, which based on the information technical knowledge management tool, turns to be a realistic project. Based on the related research at home and abroad, this thesis puts forward hypothesis on "promoting capacity to learn supported by knowledge mangagement tool",and discusses the role knowledge management tool played in promoting the capacity to learn. In the thesis,I also construct a framework which classifies knowledge management tool, and further probes the main approaches of promoting the ability to learn backed by knowledge management tool. Meanwhile,I analyse some cases in which learners promote their ability to learn with the help of knowledge management tool by surveys, and consquently set some rules, standards,strategies,and methods for the application of knowledge management tool. In my research, literature review and questionnaire are adopted. The thesis consists of four chapters.Chapter 1:General introduction. After analyzing the characteristics and demand of the knowledge ages and investigating the influence of the development of related theories of science and technology on the way of study, this chapter expounds research purpose, research significance and research methodology explicitly.Chapter 2:Literature Review and Assumption. After exploring the concept and classification of knowledge, the connotation and denotation of learning capacity, related theories of learning and knowledge management, we present the points that knowledge management tools is a supporter in promoting the learning capacity.Chapter 3:The structure, classification and utilization of the knowledge management tools. On the basis of knowledge classification theory raised by Ikujiro Nonaka & Hirotaka Takeuchi and SECI model (1997), this chapter induces the effect of knowledge management on promoting learning capacity; builds a framework for its application including knowledge transfer steps, main tools for knowledge management and supporting function; elaborates the approaches to promoting learning capacity with the help of knowledge management tools.Chapter 4 : Case study. The situation of current use of the knowledge management tools is analyzed by a case study. At last, we probe into the strategies of applying knowledge management tools to support the promotion learning capacity.
