Agricultural extension is one of the rural social education programs that can improve agricultural development, rural prosperity and farmer amassment. Meanwhile, perfect integrative agricultural extension system provides the organizational guarantee of developing agriculture through science and technology. From the definitions, institutions and styles of agricultural extension, this research was carried out to study the status quo of organizational structure, operational mechanism and financial input of agricultural extension in Wenzhou of Zhejiang province by analyzing the historical evolution of agricultural extension in China and considering the situation of agricultural extension in developed countries. Problems of agricultural extension were discussed, and reasonable and effective strategies and developmental modes to promote agricultural extension were put forward. The main contents are listed as follows:1. The essential features of agriculture in Wenzhou. Natural agricultural resources are superior, and rural human resources are abundant; Although rural economic total amount is sharply increased, the proportion of rural economic total amount and national economy is decreased; Agriculture industrial structure is constantly adjusted and optimized; Agricultural regionalism shows remarkable superior; The extension of new agricultural technology is rapidly developed, furthermore agricultural products quality and security is becoming increasingly emphasized; Agriculture of export is flourished, and agriculture industrialization and socialization begin to work well; It is reached consensus on industry and business enterprise investing in profitable agriculture, meanwhile industry and business enterprise and profitable agriculture is primarily creating a win-win situation for both so as to infuse new energy to the development of agriculture of export in Wenzhou.2.
