Custody IT Development Strategy

Since 1998, custody department has been in operation in China's bank industry. It began from fund custody to different products custody, which is continuously multiplied and complicated. Especially in recent two years, derivative business emerges endlessly, and this trend is constantly strengthened. However, system planning construction lags far behind business development, so system's update and alteration seems out-of-order and passive. Generally, the last update hasn't run steady but new business comes out. This not only reduces system's steadiness and credibility, but also brings difficulties in system's efficient plan and integration. This paper analysis on current situation in China's custody business and future trend, brings up ideas on IT development strategy in today's fast-speed custody business.
