Along with the development of the project of one resident and one meter in our country, the traditional meter reading can not satisfy the increasing demand of residents. This paper analyses the load characteristic in low voltage grid, impedance characteristic, attenuation characteristic and disturbance characteristic, compares the advantage and disadvantage of different meter reading methods, and at last puts forward the Remote Concentrated Meter Reading System. Later, the paper shows the advertent problem in design and gives the design constructions of The Remote Concentrated Meter Reading System to improve the automation level in electricity power management and promote the electricity marketing. At last, based on the combination of quantitative and qualitative analyses, this paper give the economical benefit and social benefit of the Remote Concentrated Meter Reading System.
