A Study On The Technology Cooperation Between MNCs And Private-owned Companies

Technological innovation is the source of competitive advantage. All kinds of enterprises, including multi-national companies (MNCs) and private-owned companies, are seeking for tecnnology advantages. In recent years, the private-owned companies have attracted the attention of MNCs because of its flourishing development, and MNCs have begun to quest for the possibility and modes of technology cooperation with the private-owned companies. As for the private-owned companies, it must choose to cooperate with the MNCs for obtaining more opportunity to study and develop. Thus, from the perspective of strengthening the technology cooperation between private-owned companies and MNCs and promoting the development of private-owned companies, the questing for technology cooperation between private-owned companies and MNCs has become a new and important subject.This paper researches technology cooperation between private-owned companies and MNCs, and its main purpose is to strengthen the technology cooperation and improve the competitiveness of private-owned companies, through questing for motivation and modes of their cooperation.In the main part of this paper, based on the analysis of different technological innovation advantage of private-owned companies and MNCs, it puts forward the mutual motivation and qualification of technology cooperation between private-owned companies and MNCs, so that the private-owned companies can keep sensitivity to the technology cooperation motivation and qualification of MNCs, and promote its strength to strive for the cooperation opportunity with MNCs.Then this paper compared the different organizational modes of the technology cooperation of private-owned companies and MNCs. And it explored the reason of the organizational modes which are always preferred by private-owned companies. Afterwards, based on the foregoing theory, this paper analyse the typical case of technology cooperation between Xinda Chemical and Lanxess.
