Research On Bidding Strategy For Hydropower Supplier And Risk Assessment

With the electricity market reform initiated in England in late 1980s, power industry has been undergoing market reform worldwide, and our country also actively promotes the development of electricity market reform. The goal of electricity market reform is to introduce competition mechanism in order to realize the optimal allocation of resources and produce maximal social benefits.The competition started from power suppliers and problems faced by power suppliers have becoming more complicated. Especially the financial risk due to the great fluctuation of prices should not be ignored; both thermal plants and hydropower plants should face financial risk brought by uncertainty price. Water resources are clean and renewable, so hydro power is greatly encouraged.
