Analysis Of The Construction Of Credit System In Tobacco Industry

Credit is the foundation stone of market economy. For a long time, the research into the credit system has just begun in our country. The loss of individual credit system and the incapability to make a correct assessment about the enterprises'credit can not match the rapid economic growth in our country. As far as tobacco industry, the relatively special monopoly industry, is concerned, credit is the most important for its existence and development. Honesty and credibility are required. To legalize and formalize the principle of honesty and credibility will play a positive and essential role in the healthy development of the whole industry. Credit is the internal requirement for tobacco industry to adapt to development of market economy; credit is the objective requirement for tobacco industry to meet the challenges of WTO; credit is also the invisible assets for tobacco industrial enterprises in the whole country. Therefore, the construction of credit system in tobacco industry is an important subject both theoretically and practically.Combining theory with practice, this paper is based on the managing experience and lessons that the author has gained in tobacco industry. This paper makes an analysis and comparison about the individual credit systems in western developed countries on the basis of reexamining the content of credit and credit system as well as analyzing the relationship of credit, credit system and economic development. This paper also makes a relatively overall analysis of aspects such as the historical and current states, the difficult problems, and policies of setting up credit system in our country. It furthers propose some assumptions and suggestions concerning setting up and perfecting credit system in tobacco industry at present.
