The risk management is a very essential part in software n software development process. However, due to the lack of enough understanding, many organizations neglect the software project risk management. Comparing to the normal projects, there are much more uncertainty in software projects. The software project urgently needs to strengthen the risk management, this mainly displays in following two aspects: firstly, the risk management is the internal request in various project groups. As a result of the rapid development in software technology and the widespread application of software system in various social aspects, thus each kind of risk factors and the risk occurrence have greatly increased, and the loss scale that the risk event created has expanded. All these issues have proposed higher management requests for the project groups, and caused each method of the risk management to be favored. Secondly, the unceasing improvement of risk management method and the successful application on many typical projects have attracted many software project groups to carry on their own risk management. Currently, the risk management has overcome the limitation that the method is traditional and only using some sole method handling risk. The risk management comprehensively utilizes each kind of control risk measures, and consummates these methods day by day, so that a growing number of projects self-consciously use the risk management. However, in software development process, Risk Identification, Risk Assessment is the key elements affecting project success.Firstly, this dissertation introduced the traditional systematization of project management knowledge, and analyzed the particularity of software project. In detail to summarize the main object of project risk management, the article carried on the outline to the research progress of software risk management both at home and abroad.secondly, with a full exposition of the common technology, the paper mainly analyzed the common risk recognition model and pointed out the limitation of common risk recognition model. Considering the nine big area of project management, the dissertation revises the recognition model.In the foundation of constructing the recognition model, the dissertation applies fuzzy synthesis appraisal method to the software project risk assessment.
